Nicole Gartside
Hello MHS students and families! My name is Mrs. Gartside, and this is my 17th year as a teacher in Mel-NAP schools. I am also a graduate of MHS: Class of 1997! I currently teach Resource English Language Arts for 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. I received two Associate's degrees from Henry Ford College in Fine Arts & Science, a Bachelor's degree in History & Sociology and a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a second Master's Degree in English Language Learning from Western Governor's University.
I coached basketball and volleyball for several years at Strong Middle School before having my two children: Gracie (12th grade) and Blake (7th grade). I've been married to my husband Ken for 19 years, and we reside in Allen Park with our children and black lab named Walter. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the students again and meeting all of our incoming freshmen. GO CARDS!
