Ms. Michelle Foster
Hello, my name is Ms. Foster. This will be my second year at Melvindale High School, but it is my 24th year teaching high school science. I am passionate about teaching and about empowering students. I love to watch the light bulbs come on when students start to understand the concepts and how the different pieces fit together.
I was born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan. I started college in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) as a pre-med student. I chose to switch to education and transferred to Eastern Michigan University. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in General Science from EMU and a master's degree in Educational Psychology also from EMU.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, travel, nature, home improvement projects, reading, music, spending time with family and friends, and my big Newfoundland dog named Henry. I also volunteer at an animal sanctuary.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
