Mrs. Tatu-Islas

Hello! I am Mrs. Tatu-Islas and I am an ELA teacher at MHS. MHS became my home in March  of 2022.  I have been an educator for the past 10 years and have experience teaching all high school grade levels.  Currently, I work with ninth graders on the ELA/READ 180 curriculum.  I graduated in 2012 with my BA from Wayne State University.

 

Besides being an educator, I am also a wife and a mom.  I come from a blended family where three languages are spoken: English, Romanian and Spanish.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading fiction books, and traveling the world.  Fall is quickly becoming my favorite season as I love spending as much time outside as possible.
