Mr. Nathan Geiger

    Hello my name is Mr. Geiger. I am entering my 20th year teaching in the Melvindale Northern Allen Park Public Schools. I am the Resource Teacher for the Math Department ( Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2). I am very proud to be part of the Cardinal Family.

     

       I grew up in Wyandotte Michigan. I went to Michigan Technological University on a Football Scholarship where I studied Forestry and Wild Life Management for three years. I then transferred  to Eastern Michigan University where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mental Impairments and then a Master's Degree in Emotional Impairments. I enjoy taking college classes so much that I went back to school and earned a second Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Others Languages (TESOL) from Madonna University. 

 

     When I am not teaching I am coaching. I am very passionate about the game of Football. Most resonantly as an assistant coach on the 2019 Division 6 State Championship team.  I've been married for 19 years to my wife Tela, and we have three children Mary (Senior), Jon (8th grade), Maggie (6th grade). If not at work, or football, I am at sporting events that my children participate in or enjoying time with them.

 

    Personally I love the outdoors, and enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping. Fall is my favorite season and in the woods and on the waters of Michigan is a wonderful place to be. Lately I learned that winter is more fun in the warm Florida waters of the Gulf and Atlantic. Salt water fishing is amazing and I cant wait to get back down there( "SALT LIFE"). 

 

    I am very excited to get back to school. I want you to get the most of this opportunity. It is a great learning experience about how life is not fair or easy. Please Participate, Ask Questions, and lets have some Fun Learning.  Lets have a great year, and GO CARDS!!!!!
