Dear Cardinal Families,
Earlier today, Strong Middle School staff was notified of a threat against the school. The staff immediately notified the Melvindale Police Department, who responded to the threat, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
Due to the circumstances and timing of the incident, the district made the decision to cancel all after school activities for the evening. The police also assisted in the dismissal of students at the buildings that were affected by the threat.
The safety of our students, staff, and community is always the main priority of the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park School District. We will be providing additional information as soon as it becomes available.
